Educational resource teaching Discord bot developers to request only the permissions they need.

Why it exists#
Far too many Discord bots ask for Administrator when they need a handful of permissions. Administrator bypasses every safety check a server has, so a single compromised or malicious bot can wipe a community.
NoAdmin makes one argument, "your bot doesn't need Administrator", and gives developers the tools to fix it.
What it offers#
- Permission calculator: pick permissions and get the permission integer, an invite link and a code snippet
- Invite analyzer: paste an invite to see what it grants, and what a compromised bot could do with it
- Permission reference: all 52 Discord permissions with risk levels and safer alternatives
- Bot examples: sensible permission sets for 10 common bot types, such as moderation, music, tickets and reaction roles
- Guides on channel overwrites, role hierarchy, permission bitfields, and handling missing permissions in code
- A README badge bots can show to signal that they request less, plus an API for bot lists
How it's built#
Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. The source is on GitHub.
